Anna completed her graduate training in public health (MPH) and affordable housing (MCRP) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Previously, Anna led efforts in local government to expand the supply of privately owned affordable rental housing through partnerships with private landlords. She enjoys bridging research and practice to promote equitable housing policies and resources. Anna Patterson, Policy AnalystĪnna joined the Coalition in January 2022 as the Policy Analyst. Originally from Washington DC, Alex graduated from Bard College in 2006 and earned a Masters of Social Work from Washington University in St. Alex has worked in the affordable housing arena with nonprofits, state agencies, behavioral health providers, as well as real estate developers and property management firms. Alex brings 8 years of experience working in affordable housing, community development, and behavioral health. She is a work-at-home mom of 2, and strongly believes in raising her children to be future activists and social justice leaders. Adrienne’s volunteer work includes working with Equality NC and Carolina Federation, serving on the NC Council for Women and Board of Directors for the ERA Alliance, and staying involved in local activism around public education and criminal justice reform. Even though she did not win her race, she leveraged the political connections she made to continue growing in community organizing and advocacy, with particular focus on fighting housing and food insecurity, advocating for public education, and promoting equitable policies that uplift women and people of color. Adrienne mainly focused on community volunteering until she ran for public office in 2018. She resides outside of Greensboro, NC, where she has lived since graduating from NC A&T State University. Adrienne Spinner, Director of Strategic PartnershipsĪdrienne Spinner joined the NCHC team in 2020 as the State Organizing Director. The Coalition’s central staff works out of our Durham office to stay informed of the latest housing news, to remain proactive on housing-related issues in local, state, and federal arenas, and to promote housing opportunities for low- and moderate-income North Carolinians.
